What this calculator covers

Dirhamtally is a take-home and end-of-service calculator for the United Arab Emirates. Because the UAE levies no personal income tax on salaries, take-home usually equals gross — so rather than dress that up, the tools focus on the questions that actually decide your money: the end-of-service gratuity, the basic-vs-allowances split that drives it, and, for UAE nationals, the GPSSA pension. It also explains how salaries are paid through the Wage Protection System and what the ILOE unemployment insurance costs.

The sources it is built on

The figures are drawn from primary UAE authorities: u.ae and the Federal Tax Authority for the no-income-tax position, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) and the 2021 labour law for the gratuity rules, the General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) for the nationals’ pension, and iloe.ae for the unemployment-insurance premiums. Where a government page could be quoted verbatim, it was; where only secondary sources were reachable, the value is marked as a paraphrase rather than a verbatim quote, and the page that uses it says so.

Provenance and honesty

Every rate and amount carries its source. If a rule changed recently it may not be reflected here yet, and none of them has been through our final sign-off — so use the site to understand the rules, and take the amount that binds you from the cited source, your employer or the responsible authority. The honesty is the point: where the correct answer is that your net equals your gross, the calculator says so plainly instead of inventing a deduction to look busy.

Your data

There is no sign-up and no advertising, and the calculators run entirely in your browser — the salary figures you type are never sent anywhere. The site does load Google Analytics 4 to count visits, with analytics storage denied by default for every visitor, so it measures without cookies. The cookie page sets out exactly what Google receives.
